Scott Bridges

I am in my 4th year at Thurston and am presently teaching Pre-Calculus, AP Economics, and Algebra 2B. I also coach boys and girls varsity soccer at Thurston. My primary focus with the ICCARS project is to incorporate discussions of climate change into lessons in microeconomics on product markets and the spillover costs and benefits associate with those markets (negative and positive externalities). We discuss the current role the government plays in each market, what regulations presently exist, are they being enforced, and whether or not more or less government intervention in a particular market is desirable. In addition, what does economic theory tell us we should do in the market? Does it align with our intuitions? Which should guide us?
